Abortion! A Man’s Problem!

Well, I don’t want to simplify things too much now! However, the abortion issue comes down to men keeping their fly’s zipped. You can quote me on this! Abortion is MURDER! That child will be RIPPED APART and put in a sandwich bag….then incinerated! Beautiful! All you so-called-MEN, become responsible! I used to work in an operating room as a custodian and let me tell you the memories never leave you! I have seen babies feet in the drain stop of the sterilization room! Now Mr. Obama is allowing late-term abortions. Study up on this horror! Sorry to interrupt your breakfast! This also is happening in Canada! If we follow the Christian Lifestyle, we will have nothing to worry about. All I am doing is telling you the truth. And men start acting like one! God Bless you All

Evolution Vs. God

Yes, this is s plug for the Ray Comfort DVD “Evolution Vs. God”. This video can be seen at the site http://www.evolutionvsgod.com/. I feel incredibly sad that such so called educated “brights” as Richard Dawkins says that he and his atheist (actually agnostic) friends claim to believe Darwinian Evolution? What faith they have in theory with NO PROOF! The religion of evolution is going down my friends!

Speaking of friends, I have a friend that used to do airport security in Manila. I asked him if he ever had to deal with a bomb scare and he said he had to deal with one, and it turned out to be a hoax. I got to thinking that seeing a suitcase or a backpack just laying in an airport terminal needs to be looked at as the real thing until proven that it indeed a fake. Much like Christianity, it must be looked at as if it is real from the atheist point of view. If the atheist is wrong, then it is WORSE THAN A BOMB! Can you imagine a security expert just walking up to a suspected bomb and declaring it to be fake without doing the proper research and observation to determine the reality of it being an explosive device?

Today I ask that you pray for the atheist and pro-evolutionist that you know. I can’t swallow the idea of knowing someone believes the bad science of macroevolution and going to hell for that belief!

Terminology Tuesday: Postmodernism

Postmodernism can be a very frustrating thing to deal with if someone is seeking the truth. A very common stance for the postmodernist is to say “if you think it is true, it is true for you and not necessarily true for me”. To the person of this belief there can be no wrong, and this is a dangerous position to take. Previous taboo beliefs and practices are given the same authority as traditional values and norms, often to the point of relegation to the recent. Now to the definition;

*The view used to designate a variety of intellectual and cultural developments in late-twentieth-century Western society. The postmodern ethos is characterized by a rejection of modernist values and a mistrust of the supposedly universal rational principles developed in the Enlightenment era. Post-moderns generally embrace pluralism and place value in the diversity of worldviews and religions that characterizes contemporary society.

When Does Life Begin? At Conception or Birth? Is There a Third Option?

I will start with objections from the so-called “Pro-Choicer” (abortion supporters) and attempt to answer them.

The first objection I always hear is “It’s a woman’s choice to abort, it’s her body and no one has the right to say what she should do with it.” Well that is all nonsense unless her body has suddenly grown two more arms and legs.

Second, the Fetus is not human, just an unviable tissue mass. This simply is a false premise that the fetus not human until he/she is fully developed. This is ridiculous as the “baby” has human DNA and is alive. Size does not determine life.

So when does “Life Begin?” I believe life is BEFORE conception and “continues” at conception since the sperm and the egg are both alive, and came together, thus producing a fertilized egg. Suggesting that the “thing in the womb” is alive, even if it is a zygote or a fully developed baby it is still ALIVE! The nature of it is then human. If it has human DNA and is alive it would be considered MURDER if it was ABORTED!

In Canada abortion is legal and on demand. These are at least to me startling and obscene statistics from statistics and reporting from the University of Ottawa:

It is estimated that 40% of all pregnancies in Canada are unplanned. Of these, about half are carried to term; the other half are terminated. There are about 31 abortions per 100 live births: 330,000 live births and 100,000 abortions each year. Roughly half are performed in hospitals, half in clinics.
In 2003, 103,768 abortions were recorded in Canada, about 15.2 per thousand women. The number appears to be declining by about 1% per year. There are about 39,000 abortions each year in Ontario, delivered in 76 hospitals and 6 clinics.
An exception is Quebec, where abortion rates are among the highest in the Western world. From 17,000 abortions per annum in 1978, they rose to 29,000 in 1998, and 31,000 in 2002, or a rate of 38 per 1000 births. School sex education programs are not universal in Quebec.
All the while abortions in Canada are provided on request and funded by Medicare.

Unbelievable!

Please God I pray for your justice!

Christians Cannot Judge?

A favorite “quip” and “accusation” now among unbelievers and liberal thinkers of today is “A Christian is not to judge!” “How can you call yourself a Christian and judge me?” All this is being directed at the Christian with “judgmental” undertones strangely enough.
Well let’s read what the Word of God has to say about “judging”.

When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
The Apostle Paul
1 Corr 6:1-3

And I know that the critics and certain readers are going to say “Well YOU are seeming to be hypocritical as you see me “judge” Buddhism, Catholicism etc. So why is that okay? Read 1 Thess 5:21

21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

We must make judgments based on absolutes and today’s moral relativism simply does not hold up to Biblical scrutiny. Paul judged the Galatians; read Galatians 3:1

1 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

Directly from the Words of Jesus; John 7:24
24 “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

I will end with what I believe to be the linchpin of Christian Apologetics, and you will find it in the scriptures in the first Book of Peter; 1 Peter 3: 15

15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

Terminology Tuesday: Naturalism, Natural Theology

Naturalism sometimes refers to a form of atheism and materialism that maintains that the “natural” universe (composed of energy and matter and based on natural laws) is the sum total of reality, thereby negating human freedom, absolute values and, ultimately, existential meaning. As an ethical theory naturalism suggests that ethical judgments arise out of or are based in the universe itself or “the way things naturally are.” Natural theology maintains that humans can attain particular knowledge about God through human reason by observing the created order as one locus of divine revelation.

My Favorite Christian Apologetic’s Quotations Pt.3

“If we Christians don’t continue to share the gospel and push the envelope, the envelope will close in on us. If we maintain a ‘silent witness,’ there will be no witness, and Christianity will die in America.”

Ray Thorne

“All truth is given by revelation, either general or special, and it must be received by reason. Reason is the God-given means for discovering the truth that God discloses, whether in his world or his Word. While God wants to reach the heart with truth, he does not bypass the mind.”
Jonathan Edwards

“The human paradox is that we perceive so many signs of value and significance conveyed to us in our encounter with reality, yet all meaning is threatened by the apparent finality of death. If the universe is truly a cosmos, if the world is really intelligible through and through, then this life by itself cannot be the whole story.”
John Polkinghorne

Richard Dawkins: “The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.”

C.S. Lewis: “If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.”

Point – Counterpoint

“Human DNA contains more organized information than the Encyclopedia Britannica. If the full text of the encyclopedia were to arrive in computer code from outer space, most people would regard this as proof of the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence. But when seen in nature, it is explained as the workings of random forces.”

George Sim Johnson

“A dog barks when his master is attacked. I would be a coward if I saw that God’s truth is attacked and yet would remain silent.”
John Calvin

“Science itself is steadily nailing the lid on atheism’s coffin.”
Lee Strobel

“Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system. I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance.”

Sir Isaac Newton

“To be an atheist you must have infinite knowledge in order to know absolutely that there is no God. But to have infinite knowledge, you would have to be God yourself. It’s hard to be God yourself and an atheist at the same time! The Bible says in Psalm 14:1, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is not God.’”
Ron Carlson and Ed Decker

“It’s natural to be skeptical of a story like Noah. However, the greatest miracle in the Bible is not Noah and the flood. The greatest miracle in the Bible is recorded in the first verse: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” If that miracle is true, then every miracle in the Bible is at least possible (including Noah’s Ark). If God created the universe, then He can do whatever He wants inside it.”

Has the World Gone Mad?

Where has honor gone? Where has common decency gone?

I caught the news and surprised myself that it took me so long to start feeling ill. But that didn’t last very long. A news report came on about a human male (not calling him a man), was caught on video giving a woman an upper cut, knocking her clean off her feet and then physically tossing her onto the street! The woman was definitely yelling in his face and spewing up a lot of profanities directed at him, but seriously now, where is the justification of this atrocity?

Proverbs 13: 17-19
17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble,
but a trustworthy envoy brings healing.
18 Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame,
but whoever heeds correction is honored.
19 A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul,
but fools detest turning from evil.

I am equally sickened by the fact that a few spectators were videotaping on their cell phones and not trying help and be a peacemaker? I see that more and more lately and ask myself “why are people more willing to tape something and (of course) upload it onto Youtube and not do the honorable thing?”

James 3: 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

We must remember to defend the defenseless and protect the vulnerable. I was saddened also watching that little news piece of pure evil that it is happening daily. It comes in all forms of abuse to both sexes as well. The forms of abuse may be hidden from the camera lens in the form of verbal, mental and physical abuse.

Matthew 5: 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Have the men of modern societal morality changed to be so effeminate that they won’t step up and act like men? What has caused this downturn? I am calling out Christian men here, step up to the plate and act like Godly men.

Psalm 62: 6-8
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

Can a Christian Listen To Or Perform Secular Music?

I am a Christian first and foremost in my life, and my focus is always on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. At times I wonder if as a Christian can I listen to secular Music. Moreover can a Christian perform such music? I fit into both of those categories as I compose, record and perform secular music.

I am one to believe of course that God created music to begin with. Take for example God commands us to sing to his glory;

1 Chronicles 16: 9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

The Book of Psalms literally means in Hebrew “Mizmowr”, and translated to English is “Music”. God also created music with the significant number of “seven” notes. And when you put “three” of those notes together you get the base of a harmony called a “Triad” which is also a reflection of the “Trinity”.
So I guess this all begs the question “Is secular music something a Christian can delve into?” Another question I would like to ponder is “What exactly is Christian Music?” As well “What if the music has no lyrics”? Bach for instance wrote to the glory of God and was primarily instrumental music.

Biblically speaking there is no condemnation of any one specific musical style or genre as we call it today anywhere in the Holy Book. Within Christianity there is an in fight so to speak as to what style is acceptable and it can be a real divisive subject within the Christian body. Some will say only “Praise Music” and some will say “Christian Rock” etc.

In the early 1950’s some Evangelicals claimed that drum and percussion was the instrument of the devil. However there again… no Biblical evidence of such an opinion. The Bible only speaks of stringed instruments, tambourines (which are considered percussive but no attachment to a satanic connection), chimes and wind instruments. Again as mentioned above we have a commandment to sing to God which leads me to the subject of lyrical content.

As a Christian I must only do what edifies God. So if I choose to perform secular music and not mention Jesus I should at least sing about Godly values such as; honesty, integrity, forgiveness, love and good moral overtones as the subject matter. Obviously profanity of any kind should never surface.

Rock Star Alice Cooper is a devout Christian and that may surprise a few of people, as well there are many Christians currently in the music industry in all genres. To mention a few; “The Fray”, “Lifehouse”, “Owl City”, “Daughtry” and “The Rocket Summer”.

I would suggest some acts call themselves “Spiritual” but that is not necessarily Christian. Some so-called bands sing of Buddhism and other Anti-Christian faiths such as Gnosticism, so beware and be aware of such lyrical content acts.

The bottom line is music is a gift of from God. Appreciate it…don’t profane it!

God Bless.
