Is Freemasonry A Religion?

I was sitting across the restaurant from someone that claimed to be a Freemason with a voice that carried, and he was explaining to people with him about how the “Mason’s” were not a religion, but then in the same breath he started talking down other beliefs and religions. At that point. I thanked the Holy Spirit for letting me in on his position and do some research on this subject. I can now see why he was talking down Christianity! I now wonder why he was so brash about the “secret society” called Freemasonry?

As for him stating the Freemasonry is NOT a religion I would have liked to ask him now about the rituals that the Freemason’s perform? I would have especially liked to ask him about the “Black Communion” of Maundy Thursday: chant wordsThis ceremony allows the Masons to blaspheme the Lord. They make a hideous evil, black mockery of His pure and redemptive death, and the Lord’s will that we take communion “in remembrance ofchant words calling Jesus is merely an “apostle of mankind” and who was neither inspired nor divine!

Hmm, this is sounding very much like Satanism isn’t it?

More views of Jesus in Freemasonry: Jesus was just a man. He was one of the “exemplars,” one of the greatest men of the past, but was not divine! He was simply a Philosopher His life was no different than that of Krishna, the Hindu, sun god. He was not the Son of God.

They (the Mason’s) have their plan of redemption!

Redemption is only a matter of self-improvement, and good works, which includes obedience to the Mason’s obligation and following the higher Masonic authorities. This is only a “matter of enlightenment”! Come on now!

Check out some of their writing’s on “good works”…

V “…salvation by faith and the vicarious atonement were not taught as now interpreted, by Jesus, nor are these doctrines taught in the esoteric scriptures. They are later and ignorant perversions of the original doctrines.” (J.D.Buck, “Mystic Masonry,” p.57)

v “By the lambskin the Mason is reminded of that purity of life and rectitude of conduct which are so essentially necessary to his gaining admission into the Celestial Lodge above, where the Supreme Architect of the Universe presides.” (Albert Mackey, “Encyclopedia of Freemasonry,” “Apron”)

V “…and in Thy favor, may we be received into Thine everlasting kingdom, to enjoy, in union with the souls of our departed friends, the just reward of a pious and virtuous life. Amen. So mote it be.” (“Texas Monitor,” Masonic Burial Service, p.10)

v “If we with suitable true devotion maintain our Masonic profession, our faith will become a beam of light and bring us to those blessed mansions where we shall be eternally happy with God, the Great Architect of the Universe.” (Daniel Sickles, “Ahimon Rezon or Freemason’s Guide,” p.79)

The Masonic apron, which is worn at ceremonies, funerals, etc., measures approximately 14 inches wide, by 12 inches deep. It is white (emblematic of innocence and purity) and is made of lamb’s skin, which also represents innocence (Mackey, p. 302). Upon receiving the apron, Masons are told:
“If you wear it without soil or blemish, you will be received at the pearly gates of heaven, and there be presented with the pure white robe of righteousness, which will glisten in brightness, increasing in glory even unto the perfect day” (Tennessee Craftsman, p. 60).

Make up your mind about Freemasonry. I implore you to do your research on this secret society. In the words of Albert Pike: v “The literal meaning (of the Bible) is for the vulgar only.” (Albert Pike, “Digest of Morals and Dogma,” p.166)

We must follow the Word of God. The Word of God is neither vulgar nor in error. Satan believes in God, and he trembles at His Word!

Romans 16: 20:
20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Terminology Tuesday: Monism, Plus: Monergism vs Synergism

Monism is the view that there is only one basic and fundamental reality, and that all existence is this one reality even though we discern different aspects of this reality. It is the idea that all that exists is of one substance.

“Monergism” is the teaching that God alone is the one who saves. It is opposed to “synergism” that teaches God and man work together in salvation. A good example is Cults are synergistic. Christianity is monergistic.

All sound very similar with quite different definitions.

Terminology Tuesday: Docetism

This is an ancient heresy stating that Jesus Christ was really a spirit being and only “appearing” to be a man.

1 John 4: 2-3 has the apostle Paul refuting this heresy: “By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.”

Terminology Tuesday: Heresy

*Any teaching rejected by the Christian community as contrary to Scripture and hence to orthodox doctrine. Most of the teachings that have been declared heretical have to do with either the nature of God or the person of Jesus Christ. The term heresy is not generally used to characterize non-Christian belief. That is to say, systems of belief such as atheism or agnosticism, or non-Christian religions such as Buddhism or Islam are not technically heresy. The term heresy is generally reserved for any belief that claims to be Christian and scriptural but has been rejected by the church as sub-Christian or antiscriptural.

Terminology Tuesday: Magisterium

With a lot of attention being focused on the Roman Catholic Church and of course the “election” of a new pope, you will hear the word “magisterium” being thrown around, so here is the definition of the word;

*The prerogative of the church to proclaim and teach the good news about Jesus. In many church bodies the term refers more specifically to the group of persons, generally vocational theologians and church officials, who together possess the authority to determine the content of and to pass on to others the official doctrine, teachings and practices of the church. Magisterium is used in a more limited sense to refer to the authoritative teaching body within the Roman Catholic Church, consisting of the bishops under the authority of the pope. The bishops fulfill various kinds of “ordinary” magisterium in an ongoing manner. The “extraordinary” magisterium emerges when bishops are assembled into a council or the pope proclaims new dogma (ex cathedra).

Yikes! Mormons Believe This?

One of a few cults that will come knocking on your door is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka The Mormons. There are heresies and non-Christian doctrine that they preach and you should be aware of them. Yes I did type that they NON-CHRISTIAN! Beware! Ultimately they deny the Biblical doctrine of Salvation and the very word of Jesus Christ. The name they boldy state in the title of their Church!
It would be wise for you to remember what they believe and when a Mormon Missionary comes to your door you should be gracious first to them, but it is incumbant that you question their beliefs and proclaim the truth of the word of God to them.

Here is a few of the heresies they believe:

– God had sexual relations with Mary to create Jesus’ body

– They believe that the Trinity is three separate Gods

– Gods’ body is comprised of flesh and bones

– Jesus and Satan are “Spirit Brothers”

– Good works are a requirment for the forgiveness of sins

– God was once a man who lived on another planet near the Star Kolab

– Mormons can become Gods of their own realm (worlds)

– There are many Gods

– God is married and creates “spirit babies” after having “physical” relations with his wife.

– Joseph Smith the Mormon prophet and God must consent to entering the celestial heaven

These are just a few, and I mean just a few of the heresies that they believe and preach. We must pray that they find the real Jesus as the way of Mormonism is the way to hell. They are good people being taken down the path to damnation!

Terminology Tuesday: Monergism

Monergism is the teaching that God alone is the one who saves. It is in opposition to Synergism that instructs that God and man work together to achieve Salvation. For example Christianity is Monergistic, well Cults are Synergistic.

Christmas And The Attack On Christianity

I thought I would re-post this article as I am still reading a lot of utter nonsense about Christmas!

It amazes me on how much can come out of the Miracle of Christmas. How so many people and faiths show their true colors, including the world view/religion of Atheism and Paganism. The confusion is so deeply rooted that I find that even Christians don’t really know what to make of the Holiday. Just recently I was in a room with several atheists (I would presume atheists) that felt it was ok to openly criticize how” stupid” Christians are to celebrate December 25th as that was the birthday of Mithras and he was born of a virgin…etc. Well very little research is necessary to see that the “myth” of Mithras is easily brought into light as a “myth” and all other written myth facts on other mythical beings as stated in the documentary “Zeitgeist” et al. are erroneous and just plain lies from the producers. Mithras was written to be “born out of a stone”, according to that myth. If not bold face lies, then adequate research was not done, and was a direct attack on Christianity.

Yes it is true that the Bible does not tell us to celebrate December 25th as Christ’s birthday and you will likely not find a Theologian that would say that it is. In theory Christ’s date of birth is thought to have been during the spring harvest. In fact nowhere in the Bible say we must celebrate it. However that does not mean we cannot celebrate our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

What has spurned on this article is the brashness of how the Antichrist Atheists and Pagans openly will throw around such vitriol. If I was to just walk into a room and started mocking homosexual or racial slurs in a room where I did not know the cultural, religious or racial makeup of the crowd, I could be sued out of my dungarees!

I truly believe that as Christians we should keep our eyes on our Lord Jesus. Why do we as Christians not stand up in allegiance to this onslaught? Is it in our character to let it go? Jesus taught us love, humility, sacrifice and forgiveness. How should we respond? “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places,” Eph 6: 12

Peter wrote about the persecution.

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation. 14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner? 19 Therefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.” 1 Peter 4: 12-19

We are clearly in the end times. Persecution and yes, MURDER of Christians will exponentially rise as it did in the past. So how are we to handle this? 1 Peter 3: 13-17 says it all.

“And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; 16 and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.”

Christianity is a real threat to their ways of the world. Don’t kid yourself! Keep your eyes on the cross!

Remember to be ready to make a defense to everyone as Peter wrote. Christian Apologist Greg Koukl uses what he coins as “The Columbo Tactic”, that is when confronted by an attack or accusation start by asking the question, “What do you mean by that?” then you can follow up by “How did you reach that conclusion?” After those probing questions you will find their argument will not hold up, or at least getting them to think, thus dropping a pebble in their shoe.

Remember that Christian Persecution is rampant and that it is as usual open season on Christians. Please remember to pray for the persecutors and always keep Christ your main focus. As the scripture that Peter wrote:

“And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts…”

Merry Christmas! Stay on guard! Glorify Christ in all you do!  AMEN!

Why Yoga in the Public Schools and Not Christian Prayer?

I guess the first thing to define exactly what Yoga is? The definition that I found on Wikipedia says” It is an Eastern Philosophy, based on Metaphysical beliefs” The goal of the Yoga participant is to “attain a state of Spiritual Perfection and Insight, while Meditating on the Hindu concept of Divinity or Brahman. It is associative with Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism.

There are three types of Yoga. The Meditative by repeating the divine name. Breathing exercises, and of course putting your body into contorted and sometimes painful positions. The Meditative type that is being introduced into Public Schools is by definition helping practitioners “attain a path to salvation”. So by definition Yoga is Religious in nature.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe the stretching/physical fitness side of it has its benefits, but it goes deeper than that;
Dave Hunt, the Author of “Yoga and the Body of Christ; What Position Should Christians Hold”, explains, “It’s pretty simple; Yoga is a Religious Practice in Hinduism”. He goes on to state, “It’s the way to reach enlightenment, to bring it to the West and bill it as a scientific practice for physical fitness is just dishonest”. Hunt who is against any form of Religion at all being in schools also said, “I’ve talked to many people who got hooked on the spiritual deception of Yoga. They come to believe in this and become enamored with the Hinduism or Eastern Mysticism.”

My question is this: Why is Christian Prayer not allowed but Yoga is being introduced and accepted as a deterrent to the so-called obesity epidemic in our schools? In Canada it is now becoming a part of regular curriculum.

The Christian position should be clear. Yoga is an Antichristian religion that should NOT be brought into schools and we should as Christians question the motives. Here is what God has to say about it;

We are not saved by works but by Jesus:

John 14: 6, 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me”. Jesus is the only way to Salvation!

Christians are to be different in this World:

Romans 12: 1-2, 1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Christians are to meditate only on God’s word:

Phil 4: 8, “8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Psalms 119: 27, “27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts, So I will meditate on Your wonders.”

Is Buddhism Satanic?

Ok, I know that you are going to cry “foul!” straight away. I mean how could I even table such a question? Everyone knows that Buddhism is such a peaceful religion with those cute little “Buddha Statues” on the mantelpiece and sitting in the bathroom with an air freshener inside them. Come on!

Buddhist’s, just like Wiccans say that they are not Satan worshippers. However, from a Christian perspective we must ultimately say that if it is not from God, it must be orchestrated from Satan. Buddhism is an alternative religion for those who reject Christianity.

Let me point out some glaring anti-Christian issues with Buddhism:

Buddhism teaches that man’s suffering is caused by his egocentric desires and aversions, and if man can change his way of thinking, Nirvana (a peaceful state of rest and tranquility) can be gotten among the problems of this world. It all funnels down to mind control; and doesn’t address the evil heart of man, as the Bible says is “desperately wicked” and deceitful above all else. Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Buddhism tries to convert the human mind, without bringing into play the sinful heart that cannot be tamed.
Buddhist’s bow down to Idols and worship them:

The Bible teaches that sacrificing to idols is the same as sacrificing to devils. Demons thrive on idol worship. You’re literally in communion with devils as 1 Corinthians 10: 19-20 tells us:
19 Do I mean that what is offered to a statue of a god is anything? Do I mean that a statue of a god is anything? 20 No! But what is offered by those who worship statues of gods is offered to demons. It is not offered to God. I don’t want you to be sharing with demons.

Idol worship has always been associated with Satanism, paganism, and the occult!

Buddhism is a false religion that is becoming more and more popular every day. What with the “Coolness Factor” of hanging around with the Dalai Lama and celebrities grasping onto it, what could be wrong with that? One of the reasons is that it does not put any absolute demands on its worshippers. People don’t want to tolerate sound and true Bible Doctrine anymore.

2nd Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”

I quote the Dalai Lama, “The ultimate authority must always rest with the individual’s reason and critical analysis,” meaning that if it makes sense to you, that’s all you need.” So in a nutshell…if it feels good, do it? What a bunch of nonsense! Call me intolerant, but I will not sell out the Almighty God!

If you are a Buddhist, ask yourself, “Why am I praying to a dead Spiritual Leader?”” What promises has he made?” Please turn to our Savior Jesus Christ and ask for repentance! Jesus Christ has risen! Christ is alive and has a purpose in your life! YOU ARE TO GLORIFY HIM IN ALL WAYS! Not a false religion statue!

Here is a perfect example of the good of Buddhism….

Muslims And Buddhists Work Together To Destroy 1500 Christians

Proverb 16:25, “There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
