Spiritual Warfare Ammunition

I have written on the subject of Spiritual Warfare within the family in past articles, but it is something worth revisiting on a regular basis. As the bible plainly states:

Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

As you can read Spiritual Warfare encompasses more than just with the family. So today, I will post a scripture from Ephesians 5. This scripture makes one become introspective and frankly it is a spiritual slap in the face, that we all need once in a while. Please read;

Ephesians 5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Be Imitators of God
5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason it says,

“Awake, sleeper,
And arise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.”
15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21 and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.

Meet My Son “Buddy”!

Okay I will be straight forward with you, I don’t have a son named “Buddy”. I actually do not have a son at all. The reason for me writing this short note is about a pet peeve of mine…calling your child “Buddy”! It likely bothers me more than most.

I believe that the bible is very clear on the functions of a Christian family. The Husband/Father is the spiritual leader of the Family. Read Genesis 18:19 For I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice; in order that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.

With that verse in mind the Father must have the respect of the child. Read Exodus 20:12 12 “Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

The Wife is subject to her Husband, read Colossians 3:18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

And the bible is specific in child rearing, read Eph. 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
It would be hard to discipline your buddy!

By calling your child “Buddy” or “Pal” etc. is diminishing’s the honour between the Father/Child relationship and is not setting the foundations for proper Family values . That child is not your Buddy or Pal, it is your son. I am not trying to resort to personal experince and rarely do, however in my generation we had to call our Fathers’ “Sir” or “Dad” or “Father”. I distinctly remember a friend of mine when we were in grade 6, and he called his Father by his first name! I will never forget it.

That’s my two cents worth, and I don’t think this is too legalistic is it?

James White vs Robert Sungenis on Papal Infallibilty

To this day as an ex-catholic, I cannot see how anyone stays in that apostate church? It is truly frustrating! It is almost as frustrating as the intro music to this video. However, this video has a crucial message to convey to the Roman Catholic.

Please give the true Gospel to the Roman Catholic, and pray for their repentance.

The US Election From The Christian Perpective: Quotes

Many opinions and rhetoric have been brought up in light of the US Election for POTUS. After hearing quotes such as “I want to vote for the lesser of two evils” just doesn’t sit well with me! Although I am not an American, I live in Canada, and a lot of what the US does and does not do affects the lives of Canadians as well as the rest of the World.

Remember voting for bad Government doesn’t make you a victim, it makes you an accomplice!

Here are some quotes to ponder from John Adams and Samuel Adams:

1. Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost. -John Quincy Adams

2. If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being a gift of ALMIGHTY GOD, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave. -Samuel Adams

3. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. -John Adams (6th President of the U.S.)

4. Let them revere nothing but Religion, Morality, and Liberty… Religion and Virtue are the only foundations, not only of republicanism and of all free governments but of social felicity under all governments and in all the combinations of human society. -John Adams

5. The first and almost the only Book deserving of universal attention is the Bible. In what light soever we regard the Bible, whether with reference to revelation, to history, or to morality, it is an invaluable and inexhaustible mine of knowledge and virtue. -John Quincy Adams

Go and vote!

Most Bloodshed In The Name Of God?

A common objection from unbelievers that is presented as fodder to support their hatred of God is that “most blood has been spilled in the name of God, more than any other cause.”

This objection is just flat out incorrect, and a vain attempt at taking away the Majesty of our Glorious Creator! The atheist will also expand that objection to saying that “God and Christianity are the greatest source of evil that has ever been!”

If one were only to look at reality and facts, one would see that this is incorrect! As well, why the atheist would bring this up as a point is fruitless in trying to prove that there is no God!
Arguing that violence in the name of God is proof he is evil or just does not exist is foolish, to say the least. Attaching the name of Christ to violence that is done in his name has no idea of the Gospel.

The greatest cause of evil has stemmed from the denial of God not following Him.

If one were to lift up a copy of the Guinness Book of Records, you would see the stats of the horrors brought to humankind was indeed from institutionalized atheism! 130 Million plus have been wiped out by Stalin, Lenin, Khrushchev, Pol Pot collectively. One-third of the eight million Khmers were wiped out under the communist Khmer Rouge!

Dear Christians, I ask you to hold unbelievers “feet to the fire” when this ridiculous statement is made as a statement of hatred to our Loving and Glorious God! Ask them, “Are you sure that is true?”
“Where did you get that idea from?”

Please pray that the unbelievers to become elect by God. They are still creatures made in the image of God!

Matthew 5:43-48New American Standard Bible (NASB)

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
