How Should A Christian View Reincarnation?

To begin with, what does the believer of reincarnation believe in? Reincarnation is the teaching that after death a person’s soul will go to a holding place and after a length of time enters a new human body. It is a cycle that repeats over and over again for thousands of years until the person has learned what needs to be taught, and then the reincarnation cycle ends.

This belief is contrary to biblical scripture, though. The Bible is clear that man was to die but once and then judgment. Read Hebrews 9: 24-27 (NIV)

24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Reincarnation is a shallow idea that does not allow for the forgiveness of sins. A Christian should not believe in reincarnation but should believe in Jesus as our Savior! Jesus is the only way to sin forgiveness! Trust in Jesus as your true Savior. John 14: 6 (NIV)

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
