Is Buddhism Satanic? Surprising Responses Submitted!

Okay, I will be the first to agree that my post “Is Buddhism Satanic” has had a lot of hits for certain. However, I want to announce that I have not allowed several comments (especially recently) get posted. I must assume that the com-mentor(s), was not a “peaceful Buddhist”?

To be clear, I will not post any obscenities, vitriol or any attack speech. I am very aware of Satans lies working through Buddhism and I will not allow trash to infiltrate this blog!

Did You Know? Edition Three

1. Matthew 10: 34-36 is often used incorrectly especially by followers of Islam and secularists. Read:

34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.

Jesus is NOT saying to be aggressive. However, he is revealing that preaching the Gospel will result in strained relationships with not only whom you witness to but the family as well. Not just refusal to listen or believe, but actual martyrdom. Believe me; this is true!

2. Luke 22: 50-51 When Peter uses a sword and cuts off the ear of Malchus, Jesus exclaimed to stop, and there should be no more violence! Jesus then healed the flesh wound, the only time that Scripture refers to such a miracle. And a note to make on this scripture is that Jesus healed the enemy’s ear. Read:

50 And one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus answered and said, “Stop! No more of this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.

Powerful indeed!

Remember to carry the sword of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Terminology Tuesday: coredemptrix

*In contemporary Roman Catholic theology, the idea that Mary the mother of Jesus uniquely participated in the provision of redemption, because she obediently became the mother of Christ in his incarnation and co-suffered in his passion by co-offering Christ to the Father as a redemptive sacrifice. Catholic theologians who argue for Mary as coredemptrix are usually careful to note that this status does not make Mary equal to Christ; yet they do suggest that redemption was accomplished by Christ with the free participation of Mary.

Why Is It So Difficult To Witness To An Unbeliever?

It can be and is very frustrating when trying to witness to a non-believer, (btw did you know the word “witness” in New Testament Greek means “martyr”?) So not surprisingly it is not too difficult to see that getting through to them is hard. A Bible scripture I find encouraging is found in the Book of Romans:

Romans 8: 5-7 (NASB)

5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Keep strong in your witness no matter how much you want to pull out your hair!

Terminology Tuesday: Communicatio idiomatum, Communicatio operationum

*Communicatio idiomatum is Latin for”communication of attributes.” According to this teaching, Jesus’ status as both fully God and fully human implies that whatever is true of Jesus’ humanity is also true of His deity and vice versa without mixing the qualities of the divine or human nature. For example, if Jesus suffers and if Jesus is God, then it can be concluded that in Jesus God suffers.

**Communicatio opererationum (communication of operations) suggests that any work or action of Christ’s divine nature is at the same time work of His human nature and vice versa. In short, both of these terms are meant to safeguard the fact that Jesus only one person and not two, even though the one person is both human and divine. Thus whatever Christ does in fact the singular action of the one God-man.

“Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive – the risk to be alive and express what we really are.

Did You Know? Edition Two

Matthew 18: 21-22 “21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Seventy times seven is 490 if you do the calculation. However, that is not what the scripture means in context. It is a typical graphic usage saying that the Jews used to state “Thou shall not ever hold a grudge,” as true repentance involved a total turning from sin.

It is often written of people tearing their clothes in the Bible, and I have to admit I found it amusing in a sense, however, the reason they did so was not in anger as I thought it was but it was a traditional way of displaying mourning or repentance.

Matthew 7: 6 (NASB) 6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” In Proverbs 26:11 it is written that swine and dogs were thought of as unclean animals and had no recognition of valuable items. This verse might mean that we should give to those who want what you have to offer.

Matthew 10: 37 “37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” In Judaism it is a high honor to love the members of their family. Jesus hammers his message and with great clarity that you must have the greatest love for God himself over everything else.

Did You Know?

This is the first of a series of writings (tidbits) that I will report as being irrelevant information to some, but something that the average Bible reader may not have a knowledge of. I attempted writing a book on this subject as a collection but lost steam in the production of it. What can you do?

Early Greek readers of Genesis would invariably call it “the book of generations”?

Another interesting tidbit is that women didn’t need to be noted in the ancient genealogies. However, the book of Matthew names four women and three of them were Gentiles.

Jewish writings would sometimes use trees (such as the fig tree that Jesus cursed) as being symbolic of the nation of Israel.

Terminology Tuesday: The Laws of Thermodynamics

The first law of thermodynamics describes that the amount of ACTUAL energy in the universe remains constant and does not change.

The second law of thermodynamics describes that the amount of USABLE energy in the entire universe is decreasing. So in a nutshell the universe’s energy is running down and tending towards disorder with an eventual demise of the universe.

To put this into simpler terms, if the amount of actual energy stays the same, however usable energy is running down, then the amount of energy we started with was not an infinite amount. So if this is true then the universe could not possibly have been infinite, as you can’t run out of an infinite amount of energy. So the universe had to have a beginning as written by Moses in Genesis 1.

Evolution Vs. God

Yes, this is s plug for the Ray Comfort DVD “Evolution Vs. God”. This video can be seen at the site http://www.evolutionvsgod.com/. I feel incredibly sad that such so called educated “brights” as Richard Dawkins says that he and his atheist (actually agnostic) friends claim to believe Darwinian Evolution? What faith they have in theory with NO PROOF! The religion of evolution is going down my friends!

Speaking of friends, I have a friend that used to do airport security in Manila. I asked him if he ever had to deal with a bomb scare and he said he had to deal with one, and it turned out to be a hoax. I got to thinking that seeing a suitcase or a backpack just laying in an airport terminal needs to be looked at as the real thing until proven that it indeed a fake. Much like Christianity, it must be looked at as if it is real from the atheist point of view. If the atheist is wrong, then it is WORSE THAN A BOMB! Can you imagine a security expert just walking up to a suspected bomb and declaring it to be fake without doing the proper research and observation to determine the reality of it being an explosive device?

Today I ask that you pray for the atheist and pro-evolutionist that you know. I can’t swallow the idea of knowing someone believes the bad science of macroevolution and going to hell for that belief!
