Christians Cannot Judge?

A favorite “quip” and “accusation” now among unbelievers and liberal thinkers of today is “A Christian is not to judge!” “How can you call yourself a Christian and judge me?” All this is being directed at the Christian with “judgmental” undertones strangely enough.
Well let’s read what the Word of God has to say about “judging”.

When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
The Apostle Paul
1 Corr 6:1-3

And I know that the critics and certain readers are going to say “Well YOU are seeming to be hypocritical as you see me “judge” Buddhism, Catholicism etc. So why is that okay? Read 1 Thess 5:21

21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

We must make judgments based on absolutes and today’s moral relativism simply does not hold up to Biblical scrutiny. Paul judged the Galatians; read Galatians 3:1

1 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

Directly from the Words of Jesus; John 7:24
24 “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

I will end with what I believe to be the linchpin of Christian Apologetics, and you will find it in the scriptures in the first Book of Peter; 1 Peter 3: 15

15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

God Bless
